STOP SHIT ON DEVIANTART !!! -update-

I just want to drop some words to explain what I feel when I browse Deviantart everyday... :spank:
Why is there so many crappy, shitty and uninteresting artwork everywhere ???



DEVIANTART IS NOT INTENTED TO BE USED FOR FAMILY PICTURES or STUPID ARTWORK like (some examples) :

- Picture of your cat, your dog or grandma in the garden or the last picture of your boyfriend ! :boo:
- The Drawings you made when you have nothing to do at college...it really sucks ! Keep these shit for you ! :eatshit:
- Your last holidays or your last week end in the forest...I don't care ! :crash:
- Blurry, dark and bad quality photography...Do you really think it's art ? No, it's not. Just delete them ! :chainsaw:

We should invent new rules...to kill and ban some accounts ! :fork:

Sometimes DEVIANTART is very slow...I understand why ! So many crappy users are uploading SHIT !
and the more unbelievable is, they take time to upload every day tons of it !
The worst is when you have one of this person as a friend, you receive every day tons of uninteresting work.... :pissedoff:

Last week end, I have looked on more than 2000 deviations and selected only 10 as favourites...Less than 1 percent of quality on deviantart for me...

Really I don't understand...I like real ART and when I see most of the creations here...I'm wondering what I'm doing here...and why true artists or people who are trying to make ART are losing their time hereby....

Yes, there is no control at all ! and there is no limit !
I found also so many crap photography made by teenagers with mobile phone ! and they upload them on art photography...one I have just seen few seconds ago : my dog this morning... :fork: in ART photography....

Perhaps the message next to the submission button should be made even clearer that it is, and I quote - 'A deviation is a polished, refined, and completed work of art - something you want to showcase, to exhibit.'

I don't think there needs a more lucid statement than that.

They seem only to happy to ban an image because it might be risque, but if it falls into the styles described above, then it stays. There is no logic to this site.

So you agree then...More and more uploaded artwork is crap ! As always, the best filter is again subscription...If they have to pay every month to be on Deviantart, maybe it will prevent the shitty stuff to come.

Saw this journal in my inbox and just HAD to read it! :D

Anyway, im all for it- poor quality, grainy pictures are really frustrating- i can understand why people sometimes may not have top of the range equipment, but more often than not it isn't just the equipment that is holding them back.

I don't mind people who are submitting poor quality stuff, that acknowledge the fact that it's pants, but are putting themselves out there because they genuinly want brutal comments that will help them improve. People who submit webcam shots and doodles from the backs of their notebooks and then kickoff when you suggest their 'art' is anything less than a Da Vinci, really need a good bitchslap! :shakefist:

I absolutely agree. Maybe I did not understand Andy Warhol or I am an aesthetical racist but 40% of all deviations are exhibitionism of total lack of talent, taste or what ever you like.
And it is sad but true that the rules of beeing generous and polite or at last political correct make you look like some ruddy prat if you comment on something like that as you really think it would be appropriate.

yep ... i fear you´re total right ! as i joined dA i found not the hell a lot crap but now ... and the counter on my pics as much lazy .. some DD are just shit !

so .. how can i combine these both facts - i recognized that there´s an admin missing who sort ort the crap of the galleries ... for example you find non- nudes in the nude section .. find sinless shots likw mobile phone photos - where´s big brother ? no hand ?

so .. what´s the reason ? summer time or just a dA sag :D dunno .. but i´m mad and consider about posting my images elsewhere !

this platform is for artists right ? i do say .. this platform become to be a kiddy forum !

Agree totally, Gallery Director job should be to screen and delete all the snapshots and crap....if its to much get some more directors.....or get a few for each gallery and call them screeners (garbage shifters) and let the GD be the boss and last word if there is a disagrement.

I approve you totally ! I feel like you, Deviantart is more and more invaded by horde of teenagers who do not respect the quality rules of DA. I've paid subscribtion to try and I'm really upset (ok it's not expensive), because with all the money they collect every month, they could maybe try to improve every day Deviantart ??? Not at all, they take the money and give you some more options ( which costs nothing ) and no improvement or kind of control...Really disappointed...
